  Wait time and customer service on the phone is absolutely horrible!! In the office: I waited 2 hours without being seen by anyone before I HAD to leave because I had a important appointment to get to. On the phone: I have been placed on hold for a long time before but 4 days in a row with wait times of 40 minutes is uncalled for! Today, I got through pretty quickly but the person was rude right off the bat throughout the conversation he treated me like I was some type of low life. He also would not fully listen to me, kept interrupting, kept asking me the same questions I already answered then refused to transfer me when I asked to talk to my case worker. After being on the phone for about 20 minutes trying to get something solved regarding my case, he told me that my benefits come before my job so if I loss it oh well, and they will not residual my appointment because I have to work around their schedule! Being a person with physical disabilities and a TBI is hard enough, being treated as if you are a wast of life is absolutely heartbreaking!

  RUDE!!!!!!! I just called. I adopted my daughter and the court ordered a change of Name and social security number. When I called the lady was telling me the computer asks specific questions and the computer decides if they get a new ssn. I tried to tell her that it was a court order to change the number. She got snippy and "let me finish, let me finish, let me finish". I nicely said, yes, but can you be kind please. She then hung up on me. I guess nice is unacceptable to them. I am not trying to call again. WOW!!!! My next step will be to call the federal office to file a complaint. I am trying once more, we will see how this goes. I called back and got the KC office and spoke with Mr. Hudson who was VERY VERY nice and helpful. He assured me that yes, because I adopted my daughter I absolutely can change her ssn. He also gave me the number to a supervisor to call. I called the supervisor and had to leave a message (she will get back within 3 business days according to her message). Fingers crossed that she will help take care of the issue.
