  I have been going to this license bureau since 1977. Here's my take on all the negative statements. It has been a crowded place for years and, sure, I've waited in line for over an hour more than a few times. Just remember. You aren't the only one waiting. So are others. Some of you claim the clerks are grumpy and rude. Here's the deal. When they first get to work they are probably in fairly good spirits. But, as the day goes on and the lines get longer, people (like you) start griping and mumbling about how slow they are. Some throwing out insults out loud and so on and so forth. Do you really think they are going to be in a good mood by the time they finally get to you? Maybe, just maybe, if someone would come up to the clerk station with a good attitude, maybe tell them, " Hang in there. It'll get better!" Give them a lift me up instead of coming down on them for long lines that aren't their fault, maybe they might have a better attitude towards you and the next person. Remember, you are helping to make up that long line. You are NOT the only one there. Everyone has reasons for wanting to get out of there fast. For the first couple of years I was one of you. Till I shut my mouth and listened to a lot of you gripe. And thought, "Jesus, do I sound that bad?" I felt like an ass! Treat them how you would like to be treated. They do the best they can with what they have.
